This Privacy Policy explains how Viechomnay ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects your personal information when you use our AI-powered job board. We are committed to protecting your privacy and complying with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Vietnam's Decree 13/2023/ND-CP on Personal Data Protection.
We collect information you provide directly — such as your name, email, phone number, Zalo handle, password (hashed), CV, work experience, education, skills, and any messages you send through the platform. We also collect application data (which jobs you applied to, when, and the status). We collect technical and usage data automatically — including IP address, device and browser information, pages visited, search queries, and interaction events — to operate, secure, and improve the service.
We use your information to: (a) match you with relevant jobs and Candidates using our AI models; (b) operate and personalize the service; (c) communicate with you about your account, applications, and product updates; (d) measure and improve features; (e) detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, abuse, or security incidents; and (f) comply with legal obligations.
When you apply to a job, we share your application — including your name, contact info, CV, and profile — with the Employer that posted the role. Employers can see profiles you have made publicly searchable. We share data with service providers who help us run the platform (hosting, email delivery, analytics) under strict confidentiality. We never sell your personal information to third parties for advertising. We may disclose information to comply with valid legal requests or to protect our rights and the safety of our users.
We keep your personal data while your account is active and for up to twelve (12) months after you request deletion, unless a longer period is required by law (for example, for tax or anti-fraud records). Backup copies may persist for a reasonable additional period before being purged. Anonymized and aggregated data may be retained indefinitely.
We protect your data using industry-standard security controls: HTTPS/TLS encryption in transit, encryption at rest for sensitive fields, BCrypt hashing for all passwords, JWT-based authentication with short-lived tokens, role-based access controls, and continuous logging and monitoring. No system is 100% secure, but we work hard to protect your information and notify you promptly of any breach that affects you.
Subject to applicable law, you have the right to: (a) access the personal data we hold about you; (b) correct inaccurate data; (c) request deletion of your data (the "right to be forgotten"); (d) export your data in a portable format; (e) object to or restrict certain processing; and (f) withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. Most of these are self-serve from your profile and settings. For others, email privacy@viechomnay.com and we will respond within 30 days. These rights are protected under GDPR (for users in the EU) and Vietnam's Decree 13/2023/ND-CP (for users in Vietnam).

Viechomnay is not intended for users under 16 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact privacy@viechomnay.com and we will delete it promptly.
Viechomnay is operated from Vietnam. If you access the service from outside Vietnam, your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in Vietnam and any other country where our service providers operate. Where required by law, we use appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) to protect your data during international transfers.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make a material change, we will notify you by email or in-app notice at least 14 days before the change takes effect. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page always reflects the current version.
